Mama’s golden boy is the rare specimen of perfection, immune from family rules and omnipotent in fulfillment. Compared to his siblings (especially those without a penis) he receives more freedom, food, money and love from his mother.
Most comics value male characters according to their heroism and physical strength, and measure women by the heroic acrobatics they perform in high heels and revealing bodysuits. The lack of diverse female body types and the continuous sexualization of women in comic books is a problem for the industry.
In comparison to some Latin American countries (like Nicaragua) Mexico does not prohibit abortions in all circumstances. Legislation on abortion is a matter for each state to decide and all allow for the interruption of pregnancy in the case of sexual assault or when the mother’s life is in danger.
