The history of Kurdish women has been mostly invisible because the information is not easily accessible. It is difficult to learn about women from an ethnic group whose history has not been fully documented, and of which many precious elements are unknown or lost.
I am glad the 2012 presidential race in Mexico has ended. It was exhausting and irritating in a way different from past elections. It was marred by candidate supporters insulting each other, mindless arguments and baseless comments, general misunderstanding and the total absence of reasonable proposals.
Feminism is not solely about women's rights; it is about human rights. The feminist movement is about promoting and establishing equality for people in all sectors of society. Supporting this philosophy, conscientious feminists try to build a better world.
